ALISON brings over fifteen years of public relations,
event management and marketing experience to her role as founder
of kpr, a full-service marketing, events and public relations
firm. Alison has held a range of roles in varied public relations
fields, starting out as the Marketing Director for a weekly paper
in New York. In 1996, she moved to Los Angeles and took a position
as the Press Coordinator and Event Planner for Giorgio Armani. She
then joined TED, Inc., a large public relations and events firm
based in New York City, as the West Coast Director in 1999.
Alison's experience is extensive. She has handled a wide array of publicity and marketing initiatives, product placement deals, and planned events for a broad spectrum of clients from the Giorgio Armani Presents Eric Clapton to Benefit The Crossroads Centre to both the 2000 and 2001 Yahoo Music Awards to the original Oscar VIP Suite at Four Seasons Hotel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills. In addition, she has launched a number of cosmetic lines including DuWop, Body & Soul and Shiseido's 5S and has worked with numerous fashion clients, from Giorgio Armani to Petro Zillia.
KERRY joined kpr as a partner in January
of 2001. Kerry's energy, business skills and attention to detail
have helped kpr grow into a public relations powerhouse.
Kerry brings to kpr extensive experience in public relations,
marketing and sales. In 2000, she launched Moxly, Inc. with a business
partner. Together they researched, wrote, published, distributed
and promoted "head to toe a guide to beauty services los angeles,
2001." Prior to producing Moxly, Kerry worked in the feature film
business perfecting her negotiation and communication skills as
an on set publicist, talent liaison and production coordinator.
Kerry honed her business skills while working at Arthur Andersen (AA) in New York City in Economic and Financial Consulting Division. She managed the Asset Realization Division and was charged with creating the sales and marketing strategy for the division as well as managing accounts. Prior to AA, Kerry was an independent consultant with General Electric in the international public relations division. She was charged with writing international protocols and manager guides in addition to public relation strategies.
Kerry attended Yale University where she received her Masters Degree in Industrial Management and began her career at the Environmental Protection Agency where she worked as a Congressional Liaison. She received her BA from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.
Kerry's strong left-brain and no nonsense straightforward attitude coupled with Alison's visualizing right brain and artistic flair make them the perfect pair.
Account Managers: Courtney Kretchman &
Joy Limanon
COURTNEY joined the kpr team in 2006 as
an account executive with expertise in beauty, lifestyle and entertainment
public relations. A seasoned writer with a passion for branding
and thinking outside the box, Courtney brings with her over eight
years of publicity experience.
She launched her career at B|W|R Public Relations in Beverly Hills, working with A-list talents such as Reese Witherspoon, Courteney Cox-Arquette, Renee Zellweger, Dylan McDermott, Michael J. Fox and Salma Hayek. Later, she transitioned into lifestyle accounts and honed her branding skills by working with corporations including Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, Fred Segal Beauty and Bacara Resort & Spa. Finally, her last years at BWR were spent in the Special Events department, working with projects such as Tiger Wood's Tiger Jam, The TV Guide Awards, Revlon's Run/Walk and The Lili Claire Foundation.
In 2001, Courtney went on to start InHouse Communcations, a PR practice where she worked with accounts close to her heart, such as the Life Through Art Foundation and No Limits. Additionally, she represented BellyBella - fine belly jewelry, Vintageweave Interiors and Galaxy Diamond, amongst others.
A CSUN graduate with a BA in Communications/ Multi-Media Public Relations, Courtney is also a freelance writer with a published children's book under her belt.
JOY joined kpr in 2007 as a new addition
to the fashion & lifestyle division. Joy has 8 years of marketing
and public relations experience in a variety of industries including
talent representation, film publicity, capital management and technology.
Joy was a publicist for top-tier talent at PMK/HBH Public Relations for almost 5 years; her clients ranged from Academy Award winning actors to up-and-coming talent. She has worked on numerous awards campaigns and has traveled the world with her clients on press junkets for both blockbuster and independent level films. Her unique perspective is a valuable asset to kpr and our clients.
She recently freelanced for the Entertainment Industry Foundation working on their annual Lee National Denim for Breast Cancer Research and Awareness initiative. She also consulted for a boutique public relations firm, Suite 101, for their launch and helped to procure high-end luxury client H.Stern Jewelry.
Joy graduated from the University of San Diego with a degree in Anthropology and a minor in Business Administration - focus in Marketing. Her coursework also included an emphasis in Visual Communication.
Assistant Account Executives: Katie Hammond
& Debbie Kim
KATIE joined the kpr team in September
2007. She is a Los Angeles native and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree
in Comparative Literature from San Diego State University. She has
spent years honing her writing skills including a semester spent
living in London England studying Shakespeare. Katie is extremely
organized and detailed oriented. She loves all aspects of public
relations but is especially passionate about infant/toddler brands
as well as beauty products.
DEBBIE has a passion for fashion. She studied
design at the Nuova Accademia delle Belle Arti in Milan, Italy and
graduated from Wellesley College with a B.A. in psychology in June
2007. Having interned at several Los Angeles based fashion brands
including Ed Hardy, Debbie understands both sides of the business.
Debbie has an incredible memory and the ability to multi-task and
remain calm under pressure.
